Braces breakthrough? tiny holes may cut treatment time
NCT ID NCT07155018
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a technique called micro-osteoperforations (MOPs) to see if making tiny holes in the jawbone can speed up tooth movement in people with crowded teeth. Forty people aged 16-25 who needed braces and had two upper premolars removed took part. The results will show if MOPs help teeth move faster and how much pain people feel after the procedure.
