First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026

Summary

This study is testing a drug called Mexidol, given as an injection or a pill, in people who have just had an ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blood clot). The goal is to see if Mexidol can reduce the size of the brain injury and improve recovery. The study will involve 120 adults aged 18 to 90 who are having their first stroke. It is an early-stage, open-label trial, meaning both doctors and patients know which treatment is being given.
