Summary
This study tests a drug called metreleptin in children under 6 years old who have a rare condition called generalized lipodystrophy, where the body loses fat tissue. These children often develop diabetes and very high blood fats. The goal is to see if metreleptin can safely lower blood sugar and fat levels. About 15 children will take part, and they must not have used metreleptin before.
