NCT ID NCT07202143
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding the steroid methylprednisolone to standard clot-removal treatment can improve survival and recovery in people who have had a severe stroke with a large area of brain damage and low immune cells. About 200 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo, and researchers will track outcomes for 90 days. The goal is to see if this approach is at least as good as standard care for helping patients survive and regain function.
