Summary
This study looked at whether a rare blood condition called methemoglobinemia can happen after receiving intravenous (IV) iron for anemia. Researchers measured blood changes in 50 patients before and after they got one of two types of IV iron. The goal was to find out if this side effect occurs and how common it might be.
