Summary
This study observes 909 adults having surgery under general anesthesia to see if taking metformin (a diabetes medicine) changes their risk of nausea and vomiting after the operation. Researchers will compare those already on metformin with those not taking it, using surveys to track symptoms. The goal is to better understand how metformin might affect recovery, not to test a new treatment.
