Diabetes drug gel may boost dental implant success

Summary
This study tests whether applying a 1% metformin gel around dental implants helps them heal more firmly in the jawbone. About 34 adults needing implants will be split into two groups: one gets the gel, the other does not. Researchers will measure implant stability and bone density over 3 months to see if the gel improves healing.
