Summary
This study tested whether adding metformin to standard treatment can slow the buildup of artery plaque in people with psoriatic arthritis who do not have diabetes. 24 participants at high heart risk were randomly assigned to receive metformin or not for one year. The goal was to see if metformin could help prevent heart disease, a common complication of psoriatic arthritis.
