Diabetes drug joins fight against deadly brain cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether adding the common diabetes drug metformin to the standard treatment (radiation and chemotherapy) can better control a specific type of aggressive brain tumor called glioblastoma. Researchers will enroll 64 newly diagnosed patients whose tumors have a particular energy-producing signature. The main goal is to see if this combination delays the cancer's progression compared to standard treatment alone.
