Summary
This pilot study looks at 40 adults with type 2 diabetes and age-related cataracts who take metformin. Researchers measure how much metformin reaches the lens capsule and test whether it slows lens cell growth in the lab. The goal is to understand if metformin might help prevent or delay cataracts.
