First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
After a stroke, some people have trouble paying attention to one side of their body or surroundings, a condition called neglect. This study tested a metacognitive strategy training to help 45 stroke survivors become more aware of their neglect and improve their ability to do daily activities. The training focused on teaching patients to recognize and compensate for their attention difficulties.
