Summary

This study looks at 300 adults with bronchiectasis, a chronic lung condition, to understand why many also experience anxiety and depression. Researchers will collect blood, sputum, and stool samples to analyze metabolic pathways and identify biomarkers. The goal is to uncover how these mental health issues affect disease progression, such as flare-ups and hospitalizations, without offering direct treatment.
