NCT ID NCT07415213
First seen Mar 02, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at why people who lose weight often experience a bigger-than-expected slowdown in metabolism, making it tough to keep weight off. Researchers will compare three approaches—resistance training, calorie restriction, and time-restricted eating—in 75 overweight adults over 10 weeks. They will use MRI scans and metabolism tests to see how liver and kidney size changes affect energy use. The goal is to better understand weight loss challenges and develop more personalized strategies.
