First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether Meta AI glasses, connected to the Be My Eyes network, can help people with permanent vision loss move around more easily and safely. The glasses describe scenes and objects in real time, which may reduce falls and improve independence. About 50 participants with conditions like glaucoma or retinal disease will use the glasses and report changes in their quality of life.
