Summary
This study compared two brands of surgical mesh used to repair vaginal vault prolapse, a condition where the top of the vagina drops down. Surgeons performed the same type of minimally invasive surgery on 106 patients, randomly assigning them to receive one of the two mesh types. The goal was to see if the newer mesh was as good as the established one at preventing the prolapse from coming back and avoiding complications over two years.
