Cooling sensation tested as new relief for severe shortness of breath
NCT ID NCT07398287
Summary
This study is testing if inhaling L-menthol, which creates a cooling sensation, can help people with interstitial lung disease (ILD) breathe easier during exercise. It aims to see if this simple treatment can reduce the feeling of breathlessness and help patients be more active. The trial will involve 20 participants who will try both the menthol treatment and a placebo to compare the effects.
