Can a menthol ban and text messages help smokers quit?
NCT ID NCT07458607
Summary
This study aims to see if banning menthol cigarettes while also running a quit-smoking campaign helps people buy fewer tobacco products. Researchers will recruit about 1,185 U.S. adults who currently smoke menthol cigarettes. Participants will visit a simulated store twice, shop for items, and receive text message ads to see how these combined changes affect their purchases and quit attempts.
