Mind over knee: mental coaching may boost ACL recovery confidence
NCT ID NCT05338385
First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This pilot study tests whether adding mental skills coaching to standard care helps adolescent athletes feel more confident returning to sports after ACL reconstruction. About 30 teens and young adults will receive the coaching and complete questionnaires measuring psychological readiness and stress. If successful, the approach could lead to a larger trial integrating mental training into routine recovery.
