Summary

This study tested whether adding mental imagery practice to standard movement training helps stroke patients who are afraid of moving. 44 adults who had a stroke and had high fear of movement took part. One group did mental imagery plus task training, the other did task training alone. The goal was to see if the combination reduced fear and improved balance and walking.
