First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether a group-based stress management course called Self-Help Plus (SH+) can improve the mental health of refugee mothers and their preschool-aged children in Uganda. About 725 mothers with moderate distress will either take the course or receive standard support. Researchers will check if the benefits last a year and if children also show better wellbeing.
