Summary
This study tested whether a special MRI technique (FABIR) can detect meningiomas, a common type of brain tumor, without using gadolinium contrast dye. Gadolinium can build up in the body after many injections, which is a concern for people who need regular scans. The study included 315 adults getting MRI for meningioma screening or follow-up, adding about 8 minutes of extra scanning to compare the new method with the standard contrast MRI.
