First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking a special amino acid supplement for 4 weeks after a hip fracture helps older adults (65+) rebuild muscle and recover strength. Half of the 60 participants will get the supplement, the other half standard care. Researchers will measure muscle changes and physical function for up to 6 months.
