First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a simple procedure called membrane sweeping can help start labor on its own and reduce the need for medical induction. The study included 256 pregnant women between ages 18 and 35 with a single baby in head-down position. The goal was to see if this technique could shorten delivery time and lower the number of women needing induced labor.
