Summary

This study tests if a daily dose of melatonin (a natural sleep hormone) can reduce dark patches on the face (melasma) better than tranexamic acid, a common treatment. 160 adults with melasma will take either melatonin or tranexamic acid for 12 weeks. Doctors will measure skin improvement using a standard scoring system at the start, 6 weeks, and 12 weeks.
