First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking melatonin 3 hours before bed (instead of 30 minutes) and at a higher dose (4 mg instead of 2 mg) helps healthy adults fall asleep faster and sleep longer. Fourteen adults aged 18-45 with no sleep problems will have their sleep measured in a sleep lab. The goal is to find the best way to use melatonin for better sleep.
