Sleep hormone added to common PCOS drug in bid to boost treatment

NCT ID NCT07307677

Summary

This study is testing whether adding the sleep-regulating hormone melatonin to the standard diabetes drug metformin works better than metformin alone for women with PCOS who have insulin resistance. It will involve 60 women who will take the medications for three months. Researchers will measure changes in insulin resistance, body weight, and waist size to see if the combination is more effective.
