Can a sleep hormone ease the change? melatonin tested for menopause woes
NCT ID NCT06192641
Summary
This study tested whether melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep, could help ease common symptoms of perimenopause, like mood swings, poor sleep, and pain. For 30 days, 24 women took either melatonin or a placebo pill. Researchers measured changes in their symptoms using standard questionnaires to see if melatonin offered relief as a potential non-hormonal treatment option.
