Can a sleep hormone ease the change of life?
NCT ID NCT06192641
Summary
This study tested whether melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep, could help reduce common symptoms of perimenopause, like hot flashes, mood swings, and poor sleep. For 30 days, 24 women took either melatonin or a placebo pill, and researchers measured changes in their symptoms. The goal was to see if this non-hormonal option could improve quality of life during this transition.
