NCT ID NCT07375693
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking melatonin (10 mg daily for 3 months) can improve symptoms and reduce cell damage in people with mild-to-moderate Parkinson's disease who are already taking levodopa. About 70 adults over age 45 will be randomly assigned to receive melatonin or a placebo. Researchers will measure changes in blood markers of oxidative stress and inflammation, as well as symptom scores, to see if melatonin offers any added benefit.
