Sleep aid melatonin tested as Parkinson's treatment

Summary

This study tests whether taking melatonin (10 mg at bedtime) for 12 weeks can improve symptoms and reduce oxidative stress in people with mild-to-moderate Parkinson's disease who are already taking levodopa. 70 participants will be randomly assigned to receive melatonin or a placebo. The goal is to see if melatonin can ease Parkinson's symptoms beyond its known sleep benefits.
