Summary

This study tested whether taking melatonin for three nights before wisdom tooth surgery could lower pain and the need for pain medication afterward. Sixty adults aged 18-35 took either melatonin or a placebo before their surgery. Researchers measured how many pain pills they used and checked inflammatory markers in their blood.
