Summary
This study tested if taking melatonin for three nights before wisdom tooth surgery can lower pain and the amount of pain medication needed afterward. Sixty adults aged 18-35 took either melatonin or a placebo before their surgery. Researchers measured how many pain pills they used and checked inflammatory markers in their blood.
