First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether melatonin, a natural sleep hormone, can help treat delirium (sudden confusion) in intensive care unit patients. Researchers want to see if it's possible to run a larger trial and if melatonin can shorten the time patients spend in a confused state. The study involves 30 adults in the ICU who have delirium.
