Summary
This study is testing if a melatonin tablet placed under the tongue before cataract surgery can safely reduce anxiety in older adults. Researchers will compare anxiety levels in 60 participants aged 60 and over who receive either melatonin or a placebo. The goal is to see if this common sleep supplement can help patients feel calmer during this routine eye procedure.
