First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a new gel for melasma, a skin condition causing dark patches on the face. The gel combines tranexamic acid, aloe, and a penetration enhancer to work better and cause fewer side effects than current treatments. Ten women with melasma will apply the gel for 12 weeks, and doctors will measure improvement using a standard skin score.
