New drug combo shows promise in fight against advanced melanoma

Summary
This early-phase study tests whether adding an experimental drug (VX15/2503) to standard immunotherapy (ipilimumab or nivolumab) helps the immune system attack stage III melanoma before surgery. About 41 adults with resectable melanoma will receive different combinations of these drugs. The main goal is to see how the treatment changes immune cells in the tumor, not to cure the disease.
