Your phone could help spot skin cancer
NCT ID NCT03699995
Summary
This study is testing whether photos taken with smartphone apps and special imaging devices can help screen for melanoma skin cancer. Researchers are comparing these images to a standard dermatologist's exam to see if they are just as good at finding concerning moles early. About 100 adults with suspicious moles are having their skin imaged and then biopsied to check the accuracy of the tools.
