New gel shows promise for knee cartilage repair in older adults

Summary
This study tested a product called MegaCarti® to help regrow knee cartilage in people aged 50 to 65 with knee osteoarthritis. All 61 participants had a standard microfracture procedure, and some also received MegaCarti®. The main goal was to see if the cartilage looked better on MRI scans 48 weeks later. The study also measured pain and knee function through patient surveys.
