First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether eating a Mediterranean diet for 90 days can reduce cravings and improve blood health in 40 adults who are on medication for opioid addiction. Participants in the diet group will receive three meals a day based on Mediterranean principles, while the control group eats as usual. The goal is to see if better nutrition can support recovery by lowering the urge to use opioids.
