Summary
This study looked at whether a Mediterranean diet could improve health measures like weight, blood pressure, and inflammation in people with psychiatric disorders who also have metabolic syndrome. 30 hospitalized adults followed either a Mediterranean diet or a standard hospital diet for 8 weeks, then switched. The goal was to see if the Mediterranean diet could help control metabolic problems better than the usual diet.
