Can your gut and your plate fight depression? new diet trial investigates
NCT ID NCT07442799
Summary
This study aims to see if following a culturally-adapted Mediterranean diet can help reduce symptoms of depression in adults in Hong Kong. Researchers will enroll 90 participants with moderate depression and a low-quality diet, randomly assigning them to either follow the diet plan or continue their usual eating habits. The study will also check if changes in gut bacteria might explain any connection between the diet and improved mood.
