Can quieting your mind ease the pain of surgery?
NCT ID NCT06783946
Summary
This study is testing if a daily meditation practice can help patients feel less pain and anxiety before and after surgery to remove kidney stones. Researchers will enroll 50 patients aged 12 and older who are scheduled for this surgery. Half will practice a 20-minute guided meditation daily for several weeks around their procedure, while the other half receives usual care, to see if meditation improves recovery.
