New ointment shows promise for stubborn leg sores

Summary

This study tested a wound ointment called MEBO on people with venous leg ulcers, which are slow-healing sores on the lower leg. Five adults were randomly assigned to receive either MEBO or standard wound care for up to 8 weeks. The main goal was to see if the ointment helped the ulcers heal completely.
