Could a tiny zap diagnose balance problems?

NCT ID NCT07267910

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This early study explores whether weak electrical stimulation to the balance system, combined with movement tracking, can help diagnose conditions like vestibular schwannoma and vestibular neuritis. Researchers will test 30 adults with these disorders to see if the method can detect balance issues and possibly guide future treatments. The goal is to improve diagnosis, not to cure or treat the condition.
