First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at whether eating the fast-digesting carbs at the start or the end of a pre-exercise meal changes how your body burns fat and carbs, and how well you perform during endurance cycling. Nineteen healthy, trained male athletes will eat a standard meal in two different orders on separate days, then do a cycling test. The goal is to see which meal order helps with fat burning and time-trial performance.
