New heart scan may spare patients unnecessary invasive procedures

NCT ID NCT07341932

First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive heart scan called magnetocardiography (MCG) can help doctors decide the best treatment for people with stable coronary artery disease. About 1,300 participants with partially blocked arteries will be randomly assigned to either MCG-guided care or standard care. The goal is to see if MCG reduces unnecessary invasive angiograms and improves quality of life while lowering healthcare costs.
