Brain aneurysm showdown: surgery vs. less invasive procedure
NCT ID NCT05161377
Summary
This study compares two approaches for treating brain aneurysms located on a specific artery: traditional surgery (clipping) versus a less invasive procedure (endovascular treatment). Researchers aim to determine which method provides better long-term results for 400 patients with these aneurysms, whether they have ruptured or not. The trial will measure success by looking at whether the aneurysm is fully sealed, if there are any re-bleeds, and if patients remain independent one year after treatment.
