New trial aims to save Kids' lives by improving emergency blood transfusions

Summary
This study looks at two ways to improve emergency care for children under 18 with life-threatening bleeding from trauma. It compares giving whole blood versus separate blood parts, and also tests a drug called tranexamic acid against a placebo. The main goal is to see which approach reduces deaths within 24 hours. About 1,000 children will take part across multiple hospitals.
