First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at 1,000 children under 18 with life-threatening bleeding from trauma. It compares two transfusion methods—whole blood versus separate blood components—and also tests if a drug called tranexamic acid helps reduce death within 24 hours. The goal is to find the best way to treat severe bleeding in children.
