Ultrasound study seeks to predict jaw recovery in oral cancer survivors

This study looks at how stiff the jaw muscles are in people who have had treatment for oral cancer. Using a special ultrasound, researchers will measure muscle hardness and see if it relates to how wide a person can open their mouth. They will also test if exercise can improve mouth opening and if changes in muscle stiffness can predict that improvement. The study involves 10 adults aged 20 to 65 who are newly diagnosed with oral cancer and scheduled for treatment.
