First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether massage therapy given by a physiotherapist can help babies sleep better and improve the emotional connection between mother and baby. Twenty-four healthy, full-term infants aged 0-6 months took part. Researchers measured sleep quality and mother-baby bonding using questionnaires. The goal was to see if massage could ease common newborn sleep issues and strengthen the early bond.
